Appeals court orders new trial after $10 million verdict against Carnival in shipboard assault suit
The 11th Circuit vacated parts of a $10.3 million Miami jury award to a passenger who alleged a crew member sexually assaulted her aboard a Carnival ship in 2018. The court ruled the jury should have been allowed to hear evidence from an FBI report and ordered a new trial.
