Ohio State trustees approve about $100M settlement with former athletes over team doctor abuse
Ohio State's board approved a preliminary settlement of roughly $100 million covering nearly all of the 280 remaining claimants who said a late university doctor abused them, adding to more than $61 million paid earlier. An independent report previously found university staff knew of complaints as early as 1979 but failed to act.
