B.C. court approves $30M class-action settlement over abuse at two Vancouver Catholic schools
The B.C. Supreme Court approved a $30-million settlement of a class action by more than 200 former students alleging historical sexual, physical and psychological abuse at the two schools, including by Christian Brothers transferred from Newfoundland's Mount Cashel orphanage. The deal sets up a confidential claims process instead of a trial.
